I’m sitting here at my parents Lakehouse getting a little work done on this Tuesday after a holiday weekend, with my laptop in front of me and a view of the lake just over the top of it. I am in full blown SUMMER MODE and so excited to have this extra time with my family, but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you something.

I’ve got business on my mind! Always! You see, Wilshire Collections has been another one of my “babies” for 6 years now. It’s one of my biggest passions!

I know a lot of you haven’t followed me from day one, but some of you have. Wilshire has changed a lot over the years, but one thing has never changed and that’s how much I love what I do!

Sometimes God takes you in directions you never truly dreamed or imagined and that is exactly what has happened to me and my business. I am embracing it and along for the ride for sure though!

This crazy little thing happened last summer when I started doing more craft/DIY lives on my fb page. I found a community of women who all loved to do the same thing! And to my surprise, week after week, craft after craft…these awesome ladies showed up. They watched me craft and cheered me along, they encouraged me to do more.

Even though I can be a total hot mess express, they still showed up and loved me for who I am! They told me how they found joy again through crafting, decorating and just learning to love their homes. THOSE LADIES ARE YOU!!

Crafting and decorating are bringing people together on my page and now they are going to bring people together in REAL LIFE! Now, if you would have told me LAST Summer that I would be planning my first live event this year I would have laughed hysterically.  But once again, God is leading me somewhere and I am here for it!

You ladies ASKED for this and after lots of sleepless nights, planning, prayer and talks with family and best biz buddies…Wilshire Live is officially happening this October 4th and 5th in Nashville! And I will tell you this, I can’t get it off my mind!

My main goal for this event is to bring ladies together who all have a common love of creating and decorating to do what we love best (CRAFT TOGETHER) and make new friendships along the way! It will be a true girls retreat and I promise to make it a truly amazing experience for all that come. Because, I’m treating it like my baby.

I want the ladies at the event to leave filled with even more JOY than they walked in the door with. I want them to have made new friendships. I want to hug their necks and tell them they are awesome. And I of course want them to go home with some really stinkin’ cute Fall and Christmas craft projects!

I have to cut off ticket sales THIS FRIDAY for the event (or when they sell out-whichever happens to come first) because I’ve got to get to planning, ordering and making allll the things happen so this event can be amazing!

Some ladies are coming with their husbands and making it into a trip (they can explore while we craft).

Some ladies are bringing their best girlfriend, or their mom or sister. GIRLS TRIP!!

Some ladies are coming alone, because they know they won’t be alone the minute they get there!

16 states so far are traveling in- some flying, some driving…but they are making it happen!

Who can you call up and say, “Hey, let’s go to Nashville this fall together!”

I would love to meet even more of you this fall and just craft our days away together. I promise to make it an experience like no other and I promise you will leave with more JOY than before.

So, while I plan to enjoy Summer to the fullest with my boys the truth is that I’ve ALWAYS got business on my mind too. (If you own your own small business, I know you will get that) Because everything I do, I want to serve you in the best way I know how and make sure that you ALWAYS have a positive experience on my page, blog, group, event, etc.

I can’t wait for the fall and I’m so glad so many of you have gotten tickets and are excited too! Let’s do this, ladies!
