I know it’s early, but I couldn’t wait one more minute to go ahead and show you my Christmas tree for this year! I decorated it early because I filmed a brand new tutorial on how to decorate your tree with ribbon…the easy way!!

You know that the past couple of years I have really stepped up my game in the tree decorating department. My tree tutorial is one of the most popular things I do all year, and it’s because the steps are broken down so that ANYONE can achieve this look! How cool is that?! YOU CAN BUY IT HERE!!!
My tree before getting started…just a regular artificial 7.5 tree! 
This year, I did start over with new ribbon since I was doing a new video…but you can totally use your ribbon year after year! (I used the same stuff 2 years in a row prior to this) See my 2017 tree here. And my 2018 tree here!
Let’s talk ribbon! I hope this post and these pictures inspires you with some Christmas tree ideas for using it on your tree this year.
For my base ribbon, I picked a mesh instead of burlap this year. I loved it because it still had that natural look like burlap does, but with that pop of white it just made it so fun! I got it from Hobby Lobby.
When it comes to picking out accent ribbons, I like to mix and match and just have fun with it! I’m calling this my plaid and polka dot tree 🙂 I love those 2 patterns together! And yes, I mixed black and white and red and black buffalo check because I like them both and think they look great together!
In my video (COMING SOON) I will share alllll the secrets and tips on how to get your ribbon to look just like this. I can’t make a bow to save my life, so if I can do this…you can too! I promise it’s not as hard as it looks! You will have so many great ideas after you watch it for sure!
Once you add the ornaments and the filler the entire Christmas tree starts to come together! I couldn’t be happier with my tree this year and I hope you all love it too. I can’t wait to decorate the rest of my living room (when the time comes) and really tie this look all together!
Speaking of ornaments, here are my 3 favorites this year from Hobby Lobby! The tobacco basket, the wood bead one and the button! Aren’t they adorable?! Grab them when you see them, because they will go fast in stores!!
