Sometimes when you see something you have to think outside of the box on what it can be used for and that’s exactly what I did with this project!
See how I took this Dollar Tree tray and turned it into a Christmas sign! I really only needed a few supplies and I just love the end look!
I started off with this silver tray from the Dollar Tree…for YES, $1!!
I painted a coat of white around the edges, then dry brushed with black, then went over it all with the waverly antique wax. You could paint your edges however you wanted to though!
This cute music scrapbook paper came from Hobby Lobby and I just cut it to size and then mod podged it on to the tray.
The little trees were from Dollar Tree also, and I painted them in Deco Art Americana desert cactus and then hot glued them to the bottom.
Next up, I took these little scrabble tiles (mine are from Walmart) and spelt out Oh Holy Night and glued them on! I added a wooden star up top too!
Last but not least, I added a bead garland but to the FRONT of the sign to have it drape down a bit. I truly loved this final touch!
What do you think?! Is this not the cutest Dollar Tree tray makeover?! Hope you love it and are inspired!
